Australian General Skilled Migration Visa

A Skilled Migration Visa is a type of visa that allows highly skilled individuals to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis. These visas are designed to meet the specific needs of the country’s economy, by allowing individuals with specialized skills, knowledge and qualifications to contribute to the workforce. The process of applying for a Skilled Migration Visa involves a number of steps, including Skill Assessment ,Expression of Interest (EOI) nomination by a state or territory government, and submission of a visa application.

The Common Criteria for General Skilled Migration visa

Age

Must be below 45 years old.

English language

English language proficiency ( At least IELTS 6.0 in each band or PTE, TOEFL, CAE, OET equivalent test score.

Education

Degree or trade qualification relevant to nominated occupation.

Work experience

At least 1-3 years in the nominated occupation.

Skills

Skills assessment by relevant assessing authority.

Points test score

Minimum of 65 points.

Health

Health and character requirements.

No debts to the Australian government

Must not have any outstanding debts to the Australian government.
